We stayed here at the end of August and, for the most part, we had a good experience. The woman at the front desk was lovely. When we arrived, we asked if our request had been accommodated to swap out down pillows/blankets for regular ones as my partner has a severe allergy to the feathers. She said that the accommodation hadn't been fulfilled due to an error in the system with the note we placed requesting it. She made a phone call and told us they would do the swap if we could wait. It was late as we were coming from an event, but no big deal, we sat down and waited. It took probably about 20 minutes and then we were told we could head to the room. It's definitely odd that the elevator is so far from the lobby, but it wasn't an issue for us. The room was nice and mostly clean. There are definitely some small details that housekeeping is missing, but nothing super worrying. Typically, we would check the pillows and blankets to confirm they were changed to non-feather before we arrived, but since the front desk had called and had them switched out while we were right there, we assumed it was done. My partner woke up gasping for air struggling to breathe in the early morning, which is when we realized that nothing had been switched. I don't know if maybe they switched the wrong room, or if the person who was asked to do it just never did, but either way it was very disappointing and upsetting. All we were offered was an apology, which was fine, but we really wish this hadn't happened. Hotel was quiet and clean all around otherwise, but they need more trashcans in the room. In fact, our room didn't have a trashcan at all and we aren't sure why.
Room had a feel for "ongoing renovations - be right back."
The best part of this hotel was the people.. Jermaine, William, and the gentleman at the bar. Super helpful. Breakfast was okay, but chicken wings were not good at all.
What an awesome hotel! Full kitchen in some rooms so easy and accommodating. Great for family and small kids and complimentary breakfast. Cedrick who checked us in was great and very helpful. Would stay here again
Stayed for a friend’s wedding. Hotel was clean and people were friendly. Room had so much space. Breakfast was pretty good by breakfast standpoints. Nothing too crazy, but it was hot and well stocked. I kinda wish we were there for longer than one night.
I would give the Hyatt House 0 stars if I could for my wedding block. We were told the bar would remain open after our wedding as long as people were buying drinks. I confirmed this prior to my wedding with the front desk and had an email as proof. After the wedding we got back and went to the bar... which was doing last call. The staff refused to validate what I had been told upon booking and was extremely rude. They were rude to our guests as well. Staff that night told one of our guests to "shut up and go to bed." This hotel completely ruined our wedding night.
Prior to this, the wedding block coordinator left and all of our blocked rooms were released without our knowledge. This took over 2 days to rectify and the hotel did not notify us. We only found out from one of our guests.
I completed the hotel survey directly after the wedding and to no surprise - the hotel did not reach out to me.
DO NOT BOOK HYATT HOUSE FOR YOUR WEDDING BLOCK.
The rooms are spacious with a kitchenette and living space, separate bedroom, two TVs, large bathroom. The pool looks inviting! The property is pretty big but manageable. Beautiful area! The hallways smell a bit odd but not too overwhelming. The breakfast area gets pretty crowded but had nice choices and was comfortable.
Unfriendly staff without smiles. They at least do their job. Bar tender wore gloves for all functions including food service, cleaning touching face, poring drinks and getting glasses to serve. The only problem was tat they were the same …
Most bizarre layout for a hotel ever… elevators are on opposite end of building from the lobby, so you walk to the other end of the hotel to get to your floor, then walk the entire length of the hotel back to get to your room. My Fitbit …
